Wow, I used to be so good at blogging! Then came Sadie! LoL! Anyway, a couple of people have asked about the birth story, so here it is: (don't worry, it's not graphic!)
July 20, 2009:
We were told to call the hospital at 6:30am to see what time we should come in. As long as there weren't a lot of labors, we'd be admitted. We called, and they said to come in at 7:30. We were so excited, we double checked that we had packed everything, and we were off! Well, in that hour before we arrived at the hospital, 3 other pregger ladies decided they were ready to deliver! Dang! They gave us a room, but no one came to see us 'til 10am. Then, my doctor decided to give me some softening meds that would lessen the chance of ripping/tearing. The only down side is that these meds can't be combined with pitocin. So, I wasn't actually in labor until 2pm! It was going to be a long day.
Actually, from there things progressed quite quickly. Within about 5hrs and was 10cm &100% effaced. Baby was doing sooo well that the doctor decided to do what they call "rest and descend." Which basically means the doctor goes out to dinner while we let baby's head slide on down without pushing.
At around 8:30 the nurse wanted to do some practice pushes. Well, who knew I was such a good pusher, because little Sadie was on her way out! The nurse told me to stop pushing mid-contraction because she didn't want to be the one to deliver the baby. She called my doctor, several times, while I sat with poor Sadie falling out! LoL! The doctor came running in, I pushed twice, and Sadie was here!
Sadie is a really good baby! She's now three weeks old and I don't think Cory and I have gone a night with less than 5hrs sleep. She likes baths, although she wasn't quite sure about her first one. And she loves her swing. Here are some new pics of our little Sadie Bug!

Sadie's first bath! I think she might turn into a thumb sucker,
I'm trying to keep this from happening!

I think bath time is like a spa for her!
She just relaxes while I rub her hands and feet!

My little burrito-baby!

She loves her swing. I like this picture because in every ultrasound Sadie ALWAYS had a hand up by her face. She sleeps with it up there too!
