The Joy of Moving!

We did it! We moved! Three different apartments in 3yrs of marriage! Wow! Luckily, each time our apartments got a bit better. Our first apartment at BYU was 2bedrooms and 550sq. ft-yeah, teeny tiny! Then in Draper we had a 1bedroom that was 750sq.ft., plus a dishwasher & washer dryer! We had neither in Provo, I'll never go back! Now, we live in downtown SLC in a 2bedroom, 1100sq.ft. apartment! Yea! Double what we started with! We found it on Craig's List and almost didn't go to check it out. We came to see the apartment not being hopeful, and were pleasantly surprised. The on-site manager is a 4th-year medical student at the U and could answer all of our questions. In fact, when he graduates in a year, there's a good chance we'll take over his job for half rent! Whu-hoo! Moving has been a pain, but I love the new place!

Boxes, boxes, and more boxes!

I have to unpack at work too! School starts on Monday!

Our new living room. I just got the new chaise lounge in yesterday! Do you like it?

Kitchen/Dining Room -Kinda small, but big enough for us!

Master Bedroom -We can finally fit a dresser and desk! :)

Angel Moroni

Today at 11am, I got a call from my mom in Hawaii-no fair! She had found out (from neighbors that didn't know she was out of town) that the Angel Moroni was being put on the Draper temple at noon.  Cory and I were enjoying our summer break, so we hadn't showered or anything, we just left to see the amazing event.  It was really cool!  If you can tell in the picture, there were 2 cranes.  One holding the statue, the other holding some workers in a large harness. I love to see the temple!

Last Day of School!

The downside to working at a year-round elementary school, is that my summer is kinda weird!  So school is FINALLY out, and I'm trying not to focus on the fact that I'll be starting over with new kids in just 3weeks.  But, luckily, the track I'm on goes off again in mid-August for another 3weeks, so it's not too bad.  During my brief summer break, Cory and I do have some exciting plans. We're moving!  We decided to move downtown so Cory could be closer to school. I'll keep you updated on that. But anyway, my kids this past year were awesome!  I'm truly going to miss them! They were all really fun, and always respectful!  They're just moving down the hall to 6th grade, so hopefully I'll still see them. Here are some pictures of the last 2 days of school.  One day was "Field Day" where they played games and did relays outside. The 2nd day was just play, clean, and go. They were easy, fun days!  Look at how cute my kidlets are: (Look how well I blend in with the kids! Can you see me?)
