Catching up with old friends!

This weekend was so much fun! Saturday I went to a baby shower for Kelley Morris Crawley. Amy was nice enough to host it, and it was so fun! I haven't seen some of the girls there in a LONG time, and it was great to see everyone again!

Sunday, we had some of my bestest friends in the whole world over! This is my USU Family! Up in Logan, we spent every spare minute together! It all started with the boys "putting out the vibe" trying to get some girls. I guess it worked! Our relationship has lasted through some tough times like: putting fish in a toilet, filling a tub with mashed potatoes, ruining toothbrushes, cross dressing, and getting thrown into a pool while fully dressed! Awe, good times! :) We've gotten together a few times since school, but because of out-of-state jobs/school, we haven't all been together in over 3years!

Camping

Cory and I went camping last weekend with Amanda, Aaron, and Maddie. Despite the rain, it was still super fun, and we can't wait to do it again!

Aaron & Ama making peach cobbler in the new dutch oven!

Mmm....Marshmallows!!!

My poor hubby! He only brought one pair of shorts and sandals! He's only gone camping in southern Utah, so he didn't think that the mountains actually got cold. Plus, we didn't have that much firewood!

Niagara Falls

Three years ago, Cory and I went to Niagara Falls for our honeymoon. For our anniversary this year we decided to go back. It was so fun! Cory has already been super busy with school, so it was nice to get away. I let him study on the plane, and then he gave me all the attention in the world at Niagara. On our
first trip we stayed in the cheapest hotel we could find. BIG MISTAKE! LoL! First, they almost lost our reservation. Then, I woke in the middle of the night to a screaming fight next door. The shower was the size of a small pantry, and some genius screwed in the hotel hairdryer too far from the outlet. Lastly, the maids would try and bust in even with the "Do Not Disturb" sign and the door locked! -I was in the shower and they almost made it in! No wonder this time, that hotel was out of business! Luckily, we were too happy being on our honeymoon to get too upset. This time, we did it right. Cory's dad travels for his job, so he gave us frequent flier miles and hotel points, which made this trip possible. Thanks Vern! We stayed at a nice hotel that served HOT breakfast and was walking distance to the falls. We did "The Cave of the Winds" which is where we got to take and elevator down the gorge and then walk on a wooden walkway right up to the American Falls! The water pounded on us so hard! I didn't dare get the camera out while we right at the water! Then we went on "The Maid of the Mist" which is a boat that takes you right up to the bigger falls, Horseshoe Falls. The current is so strong that the boat going full blast just stands still! We did get a picture of that. Horseshoe Falls takes up your entire field of vision! You can't even focus on the whole thing! Later we went to a museum and saw a film about the...brave/crazy people that have gone over the falls. The first, was a 63-year old female teacher! That could be me! She even survived to tell about it. -In the cheesy movie we watched, she took a black kitten in the barrel with her. After she went over the falls, the kitten came out white! Poor kitty! One of our favorite parts was dinner. We ate at "The Top of the Falls" restaurant. It was delicious! Since it was for our anniversary, we went all out and got whatever we wanted, including an appetizer. LoL, we never get an appetizer! We got to sit out on the balcony overlooking the falls. The picture just shows the mist from behind us, not doing the view justice! Overall, it was a perfect trip!

Zoo & Real Soccer Game

One of the perks of living downtown is that everything is so close!  I went to the zoo with Amanda and her two girls, Maddie and Kennedy. It was really fun! Maddie had a goal to learn what each animal ate, so we read all the signs and even asked zoo workers for help.  What a fun, educational day! -Perfect for a teacher! :) Here are some pics:

The next night, Cory and I got offered free tickets to the Real soccer game!  Real beat Colorado 2-0!  Go Real!!!  I've never been to a professional soccer game before.  It was really fun! I guess that's why it's such a popular sport worldwide!  We doubled with my good friend, Chad, from Utah State. Chad has been in Massachusetts for the past few years and just came back to Utah to get yet another degree.  (He has more degrees than a thermometer! j/k-that was lame!) Anyway, here are some pics from the game:
